Dr. Stephane Mabouna is a program coordinator at the nonprofit organization Solthis, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight for health initiatives across West and Central Africa. Stephane moved from clinical work into public health leadership because he saw how inequality and stigma keep specific populations from getting basic, life-saving care. Over the past three years, Stephane has led community-based programs that reached more than 100,000 underserved members of the LGBTQ+ community. He also mentored over 300 healthcare providers to increase their capacity for individualized care delivery, which led to patient retention in treatment programs.
