Jia Wei Cui is the coordinator of vTaiwan, a civic tech community that utilizes digital tools to make policymaking more participatory and inclusive across Taiwan. He led an AI education initiative for 3,000 high school students and won the OpenAI Democratic Input to AI Grant, one of only ten recipients from a global pool of 800 teams. Peter has produced reports on AI governance featured by international institutions and mentored youth representatives for national policy programs. His work creates spaces where government, industry, and civil society can speak openly with each other, showing how deliberative democracy can help protect democratic norms in polarized environments.
