Submission Terms

BARACK OBAMA FOUNDATION SUBMISSION TERMS:

I have submitted certain comments, statements, stories, photographs, video, audio and/or other recordings or media (the “Submissions”) to the Barack Obama Foundation (the “Foundation”). I grant the Foundation a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty free license to publish, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, edit, modify, create derivative works of and otherwise use the Submissions in any manner or media and for any purpose whatsoever at the sole discretion of the Foundation, including without limitation any advertising or commercial use of any kind. I further give my permission to the Foundation to use my name, likeness, voice, and biographical information in connection with such Submissions and release the Foundation and anyone acting under its authorization from any claims that any use of the Submissions as authorized herein violates any of my rights, including any rights of publicity or privacy. I understand and agree that all rights granted herein are fully sublicensable and assignable.

I represent and warrant that I am at least 18 years of age and I have all rights necessary to grant the foregoing rights and permission and that no infringement or violation of any third party rights, including copyright, right of publicity, or right of privacy, will result from the use of the Submissions. I agree to defend, indemnify and hold the Foundation, and any other persons affiliated therewith, harmless from and against any liabilities, losses, claims, demands, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Submissions or of my name, likeness, voice, or persona, or from the breach or alleged breach of any of the foregoing representations or warranties.

I understand that I will not be entitled to any compensation for the rights and release granted herein or for any use of the Submissions and that the Foundation shall have no obligation to make any use of the Submissions. I further understand and agree that the Foundation will act in reliance on this agreement and that therefore it will be irrevocable.

  • The Museum

    The Obama Presidential Center Museum is a world-class landmark that tells the story of our democracy through the lens of America’s first Black president and First Lady. Dynamic exhibits across four floors will highlight the events, policies, challenges, and accomplishments of the Obama presidency. The Museum is comprised of four levels of exhibitions and the Sky Room, a 5,000 square foot space that offers soul-stirring perspective and panoramic views of Chicago. Entry to the Museum is by time-ticket or event participation. Monday | 1 - 8 p.m. CTTuesday - Sunday | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. CT

  • Forum Building

    The Forum Building is a vibrant community center that celebrates creativity and innovation. The Forum’s two levels are brought to life through power performances at the Elie Wiesel Auditorium, creative forms of expression in the Media Suite, and collaborative thinking in the Democracy in Action Labs. The Forum also features the Hadiya Pendleton Atrium, Tafari’s Kitchen, our Cafe, two courtyards, and one-of-kind pieces of art by Theaster Gates, Spencer Finch, and Tyanna Buie. Monday | 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

  • Home Court

    Home Court is a 60,000-square-foot athletic and events space designed to strengthen the entire community and motivate people of all ages. Home Court offers programs inspired by President Obama's belief in the power of sports, mentorship, and connection. The two level space includes an NBA-sized regulation basketball court, seven flexible multipurpose rooms, two outdoor courtyards, and several multi-level seating areas for visitors.Monday - Sunday 12 p.m. - 8 p.m. CT

  • Chicago Public Library, Obama Presidential Center Branch

    Libraries are the beating heart of a strong democratic culture. Here we welcome local residents, scholars, and visitors from around the world to connect, reflect, and act. The Obama Presidential Center campus features a new branch of the Chicago Public Library that celebrates the rich history of Chicago’s public libraries and the powerful legacy of the Obamas.
