Ph.D. Student and Education Lead, Cornell University Affect and Cognition Laboratory and Community Neuroscience Initiative
Senegal Alfred Mabry is a youth Advisory Council Member of the Obama Foundation’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance.
Mabry is Ph.D. Student in the neuroscience area of the Department of Psychology at Cornell University. Mabry is working on characterizing the potentially shared pathology and the comorbidity between Parkinson's Disease (PD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Previously Mabry served as the assistant to the chancellor of the New York State Education Department, supporting the research workgroup and the workgroup to improve outcomes for boys and young men of color. Mabry has also served as a senior policy analyst at the James B. Hunt Institute at Duke University, leading national programs on diversifying the educator pipeline and supporting state government leaders during the pandemic.
Mabry has published on education policy, race, and government administration in The 74 million, EdSurge, Governing Magazine, The Amsterdam News, and Youth Today.
