Candy Isabel is the founder and chief executive officer of Khamai Strategies, a consulting and project management agency, where she helps municipalities and nonprofits implement equitable community engagement to ensure programs and redevelopment projects serve Latinx and Black communities. Over the past three years, she has engaged more than 5,000 residents through focus groups, listening sessions, and surveys to elevate community voices in decision-making. She has secured $50,000 in funding for community schools, brought over $100,000 in resources to underserved neighborhoods, and improved nonprofit programs that now serve over 2,000 Latinx and Black residents.
