Amanda Litman is the co-founder and president of Run for Something and Run for Something Civics, nonprofit organizations that recruit and support young leaders to run for state and local office from across all 50 states. Under her leadership, Run for Something has identified over 200,000 young leaders who may want to participate in local government and has supported nearly 1,500 millennials and Gen Z officials across the country. She has captured her learnings in her newly released book entitled When We’re In Charge, a practical guide for millennials and Gen Z leaders taking on positions of power. Having spent more than a decade strengthening democratic culture and institutions by investing in youth leadership for public service, Amanda believes that young leaders are critical to making governance more representative.
