Adela Ghadimi is the organizing specialist for the United Faculty of Florida (UFF), the sole bargaining agent for higher education faculty, librarians, and graduate assistants with 34 chapters across the state of Florida. UFF works to ensure a viable future for higher education and labor rights for members. Adela leads UFF’s organizing strategies for voter mobilization and participation in the legislative process, currently focused on responding to the recent legislation passed in Florida intended to decertify public sector unions and limit academic freedom. Adela is passionate about preserving the integrity of higher education and ensuring that all citizens actively engage with the democratic process.
