Founder and Executive Director, Rura
France
Salomé Berlioux is the founder and executive director of Rura, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the systemic inequalities faced by rural youth in France. Growing up in a rural area gave her a deep understanding of urban-rural disparities, fueling her commitment to this cause. Under Salomé’s leadership, Rura has broadened opportunities and fostered inclusion for young people in rural communities, including engaging thousands of youth through the territoires éducatifs ruraux program, which increases support for children and young people before, during, around, and after school. In recent years, Salomé Berlioux has led two ministerial missions for the French Minister of Education and the French Minister of Health.
