Leon is the CEO of Black and Irish, an organization dedicated to creating a more equal and inclusive Ireland and improving the quality of life for Black and mixed-race people in Ireland. Leon promotes civic engagement and democratic involvement among minorities in Ireland through voter registration drives, public town halls, and the publication of an Irish politics guidebook. Leon also hosts the Black and Irish podcast in collaboration with RTE, Ireland’s national public broadcaster, and co-authored the award-winning book “Black and Irish: Legends, Trailblazers, and Everyday Heroes.” He sits on numerous community boards, including Work Equal, which promotes gender equality, and the Childhood Development Initiative and South Dublin County Partnership, which support children and families.
