Nikora Ngaropo is the chief executive officer of Nikora Ngaropo Motion and Design Limited, a digital consultancy specializing in motion graphics and design. Nikora’s consultancy bridges Māori Indigenous practices with modern technology across educational and commercial sectors. Nikora launched two initiatives, Young Animators and Toro Academy, introducing over 10,000 Māori rangatahi (youth) to digital storytelling and career opportunities in the creative industry. He also advises on national curricula and has championed equitable digital strategies through the Digital Council for Aotearoa. Nikora is a visionary leader who bridges Aotearoa New Zealand’s digital divide by integrating Indigenous culture with innovation and expanding inclusive career pathways for Māori youth in the future digital economy.
