Mona Celine Yap is the department head for the Small Business Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office within Quezon City's government. As manager of Livelihood QC - Pangkabuhayang QC, a flagship city program, she has distributed over $10 million in capital assistance to more than 63,000 entrepreneurs. She has also trained over 1,000 local business owners in areas such as food safety, accounting, and marketing. A champion of entrepreneurship, Mona has long advocated for the vital role of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises in driving inclusive economic growth and public policies recognizing such enterprises. She is continually inspired by the resilience of entrepreneurs building sustainable livelihoods in challenging conditions.
