Taati Eria is the director of planning and development division at the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources, which aims to build a sustainable and vibrant economy in Kiribati through the development of fisheries and marine resources. Taati administers community-based fishing programs and develops initiatives to support women in establishing small-scale businesses. Taati is passionate about empowering villagers, particularly women, as agents of change. As a civil servant, Taati has dedicated nearly a decade of her career to driving gradual change within government ministries.
