Rose Lesley Kautoke is senior crown counsel and head of the legal advice and international law division at Tonga’s Attorney General’s Office. Rose focuses on treaty ratification, implementation, and management through Tonga’s Central Treaty Archive. Rose has navigated difficult conversations at the local, national, and regional levels in order to uplift values close to her heart, and in the interest of her nation and community. Rose is dedicated to aiding her fellow citizens, advocating for smaller nations in international environmental law, and promoting public understanding of both domestic and international law.
