Grand Opening Weekend Celebration (Sat.)
The opening of the Obama Presidential Center features a free, open-house style weekend with live performances, family-friendly activities, food, art, and storytelling across campus. Be part of the moment when this center for change comes to life for neighbors across the street and visitors around the world.
While admission is free and no tickets are required for entry, please register below to help us get an overall headcount for the weekend. Campus activities have limited capacity and are first-come, first-served.
Please note: Your reservation for the Grand Opening Weekend Celebration does not include Museum admission. Please plan your Museum visit for a future date.

John Lewis Plaza
Named in honor of late civil rights leader Congressman John Lewis, the John Lewis Plaza is a lively and animated outdoor space that welcomes visitors to the Center. The Plaza–which serves as an entry point for the Forum, Museum, and Library buildings–is a dynamic hub built to foster the spirit of community that was central to the legacy and work of Congressman Lewis.
